PEPPA PIG LIVE - COLUMBUS, OHIO 2018

My grand-daughter left crying. She was expecting Granny & Grand-Dad pig. The only ones in customes were MoMMy and Daddy pig. The other characters were on wheels pushed by people. Very disappointing. They sang to much and didn't do any skits of the real show on TV. I only gave a 3 star because she sort of liked it.

PUPPETS

The show itself was ok. My problem was with the people pushing the puppets around the stage🤦‍♀️ Mommy and Daddy pig were the only 2 in costumes I think it leaves little to the kiddies imagination. The theater was packed and as I read reviews it’s done this way everywhere. Clean that up and you’ll get much better reviews!

OKAY BUT LACKING FOR THE PRICE!

I thought it was underwhelming for the price. My 3 year old seemed to like it, though seemed confused by the lack of British accents and the fact that most of the characters were puppets pushed around by people, which made it a little strange. Definitely not what I was expecting. Also, the “VIP” experience is a total waste- you don’t “meet” Peppa or the characters, someone grabs your phone and snaps a quick photo of your kid on the stage.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

The main characters are operated by a person that my grandson saw and was confused by (instead of inside the costume like the adult characters) - he actually asked to leave several times during the show. Way more $ than it’s worth - I mean, cute for an afternoon event but not what I was expecting.

LACKLUSTER SHOW

This was a lackluster show. The props and lighting were far too basic for the price and sheer size of the venue. The audience only experienced a glimpse of a descent show during the brief scenes in the ocean.

CHEAP

Just saw the show last night with my grandson in Charleston, SC. This is a cheap production that would have been suitable as a free entertainment at the local library. The puppets were unattractive, did not look like the real Peppa, and were pushed by people dressed in black that were highly visible. Cardboard decors, bad acoustics... Even the story was boring compared to the shows on TV. Don't waste your money! By the way, I had a very hard time finding critics about this show, every single page on Google says how wonderful it is!.....

SAVE YOUR MONEY

DON'T GET THE GREET AND MEET...TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY

2.0 star rating Sam from Vancouver, British Columbia

MEET AND GREET WAS NOT VALUE FOR MONEY

Meet and greet said to have photo with peppa and jumping in muddy puddle. Peppa was standing so far from the kids, they were not suppose to meet peppa it was more of waving at her, which I think they were doing while seating. Also, the photo was clicked from our own mobile phones. Spending extra 50$ on meet and greet was really disappointing. The show overall was ok, my daughter liked it but instead of puppet if they get people in costumes like mummy and daddy pig, it would look more realistic and fun to watch.

DONT BUY THE OVERPRICED TOYS. $25 FOR A LIGHTED SPINNING WHEEL WITH PEPPA, BROKE WITHIN 12 HOURS

Kids liked it. Very short. Show was OK, but amateurish. As others said annoying human *host* and Madam Gazelle couls not understand a single word. If kids are fans they might like it, but they won't be spending the rest of the day talking about it. Prepared not to be overwhelmed. Definitely not planning a trip to new Peppa Pig theme park if this is how Peppa is being marketed. Will stick to YouTube free reruns. Just saw show in SF at Curran yesterday. Toys overpriced. If must go to Target or Amazon so you can get a refund

AMATEUR PERFORMANCE

Not sure what was going on. They had an annoying girl narrating the show. The characters apart from mommy and daddy pig were basically mobile puppets pushed by people (that you clearly visible). The stage props were low end. Nothing close to the real show. After 30 mins they stopped for a 30 minute interval and then came out for another 30. I recommend save your money and dignity and avoid.

PEPPA PIG LIVE AT THE ROSEMONT

We were all soooo disappointed. With the exception of Mama Pig and Daddy Pig all the characters were basically puppets on a stick. Even my 5 year old granddaughter didn't enjoy the show. Calling it Pegga Pig live is a misconception. We went to see Paw Patrol live and they were all actual people in costumes. The fact that we had to pay $50 ticket for basically a puppet show, that you couldn't hear well, was outrageous. Save your money people...take the kids/grandkids to the movie theatre!!

DON'T GO, IT'S A LOW BUDGET PUPPET SHOW

Bad bad bad. Long intermission....you got kids all jazzed up then break for 30 minutes. It's oversized puppets, poor audio, boring storyline, etc. Wouldn't be as disappointed had it not cost an arm and a leg.

PEPPA PIG LIVE

Worst show ever!! 1 star is an exaggeration! Total rip off. I pd $50 to go back stag and get a picture of my 5 year old with Peppa jumping in a mud puddle. 1st they made me pay another $50 to go back with her because she was young - ( Peppa is a children’s cartoon) then used MY cell to to take the pictures that were terrible. The mud puddle was a brown mat and Peppa was a puppet about 20 ft from her. My daughter hysterically cried because she expected to get her picture taken with Peppa similar to pictures with the Easter Bunny. The show was such a disappointment as we were expecting live characters in costumes. It was a total waste of my money as I honestly feel like it was just a scam using children as a target. I sincerely hope that the Charleston Theater never allows another show like this to use their stage to disappoint our children. I read in other reviews how disappointed people were and didn’t see any good reviews. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT!

PRESAGES THE DOWNFALL OF THE GREAT AMERICAN EXPERIMENT

I am a Peppa Pig fan. Our British parents across the pond have really created a delightful rather educational show peppered with the dry wit that the British have absolutely perfected. I’m not sure what I witnessed at Emerson, but it wasn’t Peppa Pig. Instead, it was a sort of clinic in pre k educational nihilism in the states. A blackboard remained a simple prop and nothing more despite consisting of nothing more ambitious than the alphabet and the numbers 1-5. The accents were positively atrocious and the diction far inferior to Jamaican patois, which would’ve at least added a bit of levity to an otherwise grim affair. The parents, including myself, seemed quite grateful for the bar. We noticed the absence of cup holders, but their superfluity soon became apparent as our drinks were consumed with the velocity of a frat party both as a matter of survival and an antidote to the enhanced interrogation unfolding before our eyes. I felt rather sorry for the children, most of whom seemed quite bored, particularly as the show couldn’t even spring for costumes that would’ve created even a pretense of fantasy necessary to keep a child engaged. Rehearsal was evidently optional. I suspect not a single writer was hired. The songs often did not feature a single intelligible word in any language, merely a string of off key neologisms. Would highly recommend to any parent wishing to questions a child’s ADHD diagnosis. If your child can sit through this, it might represent the most sensitive indicator yet that your child does not need amphetamines. Also would recommend to radical anglophiles and neo-monarchists as this show will provide valuable fodder for some of your more persuasive arguments. All others need not apply
