I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The dancing magnificent and very well rehearsed. Singing was beautiful and the illusions were good. The musicians were very entertaining. I loved the different outfits the dancers wore. Very colourful. I could not stop my feet from moving the entire time. I would definitely go again if they were to return to Ottawa.

CELTIC ILLUSION
The show was entertaining enough. The illusions magnificent. The singing could have be left out, or minimised to 2 songs .Replaced with more illusions. I am a Hugh fan of anything Celtic and attend with my family every event that comes to Calgary. To make this show great I feel they would have to add more dancers to there show. The dancers were great.

LOOKED UNPRACTICED
It almost seemed like a vibe there was conflict within the staff. It seemed like it was choppy and didn’t flow. Some of the sound didn’t work for the instruments properly and some of the illusions failed. At one point the main character said shit under his breath but in second row could be heard when an illusion failed.
The dancing was Amazing!! I would go just for that alone. At the price point tho I think I would overlook going again.

TECHNICAL NIGHMARE
This was the most amateur show I have ever seen. Some sound issues with the instrument solos. Were the 'Tapping' sounds actually recorded? They were definitely off the foot moves. The singer sounded like she was at a karaoke bar and just not necessary to make the show better. I could tell at least 2 of the illusions didn't work out like planned, and at one point 2 of the dancers ran into each other. I hope this was a really off night for the crew of Celtic Illusion, because at $80 plus dollars a ticket I was less then impressed.

MEH 😑
Dancing was great, more dancers would have been better. Didn’t see the point of the singing? Illusions were subpar or failed. Was there a storyline? Production lacked. Disappointing.

DISAPPOINTMENT
Music quality is poor... Singer's words can't be heard. Too few dancers. Sets, lighting both weak. Illusions standard. You have to really like Irish dancing to make it withheld.

DID NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS
A big thank you to the performers and dancers for their show. More dancers would have been better. The second half of the show was more dynamic and entertaining that the first half. Illusions? Not the best. I have seen other types of shows in Las Vegas, Broadway, Disneyland and even in Mexico the stages and production are much better than the horrible stage at TD Place in Ottawa. This stage is pathetic, mediocre, subpar. The dancers and performers deserved a better stage with a better set and scenography.
An Scenography aims to motivate, participate, and engage the audience with attractive displays. Listening and seen the singer in a stage like this with no scenography at all was depressing and remind me of a low budget show. Some of the acts/dances had some sort of scenography but did not impress. A better scenography will help to provide a better atmosphere to the show. Was there a storyline? Jumping from one act to another like from a sort of Martial Arts Kung Fu moves mixed with Irish Dance? Then Burlesque mixed with Irish Dance and then a sort of Magic Mike or Michael Jackson types of moves mixed with Irish Dance was kind of entertaining but there was nothing spectacular about it. My expectations were really High. I was expecting to see a Riverdance type of show. Unfortunately, I will not recommend it.

CELTIC ILLUSION WAS A MONEY GRAB
A very disappointing performance. No apparent rhyme or reason to the show. I have seen better, more engaging dance recitals. Not sure what the point was other than trying to keep the performers occupied. Would not recommend this show to anyone.

VERY DISAPPOINTING
Illusions were subpar. Also they failed to execute them properly. It felt like groundhog day every scene was the same with different attire. Sound problems as well. Also they could have done without all that singing.

THEY MAILED IT IN.
After reading reviews of this “world wide spectacular” show, expectations were very high. What a disappointment. Everything about this show seemed like they went on the cheap. There was nothing spectacular about it. I would go so far as saying if this show auditioned on America’s Got Talent they would have had buzzing X’s within the first 60 seconds. The sound was horrible. The recorded “taps” of the dancing was muffled. The violin and flute (especially) again muffled and sounded amateur at best. The vocalist, again, amateur. And somewhat pointless IMO. Even the song lyrics were cliche. The dancing was pretty much the same thing over and over for the entire show. And the ummmm, “illusions” (if you can call them that) were essentially the same thing time and time again, and one didn’t even work! I’d like to think that other places in the world must have experienced something entirely different because in my humble opinion, I’ve been more entertained at high school talent shows.

RUINS A GREAT MEMORY OF RIVER DANCE AND LOARD OF THE DANCE
Absolut Disaster in Act ,Illusion and Dance , most of tap dancing sound was pre recorded and I believe that instrumental act was also pre recorded, Almost felt like a school act than a live show in a prestige's Venue. I loved the river Dance and Lord of the dance it is actually a shameful to pretend to be a Celtic dance ….. very disappointed
