AMAZING

Everything about the show was amazing. The opening was unexpected and perfect. The rest was the same. I'll see them again and again.

EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST TIME AROUND

The venue was great (Blue Hills Bank Pavilion)—as was the weather. However, it was Arcade Fire themselves that took the concert to a whole new level (and I don't write that lightly). It obvious that they are in a groove as a result of touring for a year, and every, single song they played was tighter, grander, and just plain better this time around. Plus, they mixed up the set list in some fun ways that true AF fans could truly appreciate. This was my fourth time seeing them, and it was the best of their shows. In fact, I count this among the best shows I have seen. Period. If you can catch them on this leg of the Everything Now tour, do yourself a favor. Go.

ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER!

I never dreamed Arcade Fire would come close enough to Raleigh for me to see them live. My dream came true. It was an incredible concert from beginning to end! Their energy level was off the charts and the way they all move around any play different instruments was very impressive. Their light show for such a small venue was also great. This was my first concert at Red Hat, but I would go back again for sure.

OMG

The greatest live band on the planet. Mic drop.

GREAT SHOW

This was my 4th Arcade Fire show and another amazing performance. Their live presence both musically and visually is incredible. Great mix of old and new and the set was incredible. Boukman Eksperyans were incredible too - such great energy and amazing sound. The only down side was the DJ in between openers and AF. After about 5 minutes, it became unbearable. Part cheerleader, part clown - he somehow muffled every potential crescendo with strange music that at times felt like I was listening to curated elevator music at the Teletubbies corporate HQ. I'm still puzzled by his prancing around with unmic'd cowbells and maracas for the 6 people in earshot of him. I literally started to question all of my life decisions from what was clearly a demonstration of "torture" art.

MAGIC

The band made the show feel like an intimate experience - it was ELECTRIC and incredible! The fans thank you for killing it - for us!!!! INCREDIBLE!

SOUND ENGINEER DROPPED THE BALL AT THE ANTHEM

Sound was not the best, ALOT of feedback and microphone too close to instruments. Unable to understand most of the vocals and it just sounded like a high school garage band for 80% of the show. Arcade fire and opening brought the energy and participation! They're good but they need a better sound check.

SOUND WAS TERRIBLE.

I thought Arcade Fire put on a decent show but the sound at the Bill Graham venue was absolutely awful. Everything was just way too loud. They need to hire a new sound engineer.

WASTED TOO MUCH OF MY TIME!

Having lost Beck as an opening act, Arcade Fire went with a band from Haiti (where Win Butler's wife is from) which was not at all entertaining and was way too loud. This might have been the only time in my life when I wore earplugs through an entire show. The worst part of the evening, which was having to listen to the loud, crappy electronic DJ music with some idiot dancing around around his personal stage. Arcade Fire's performance was spotty, as the music from We is tepid, as was the audience response to most of it. A.F. tried to get by with an elaborate light show, but I go for the music, not the visuals. I've seen A.F. 6x now and this was the worst I've seen them. Too loud/indiscernible sound. Uneven performance. They should have played less from We or gotten that lousy album out of the way early, but they kept coming back to it, thereby creating an uneven flow for the concert. I won't see them (formerly one of my favorite bands) until they come out with a great album.
